Project Update: Transforming a Subdivision home into a Modern Custom Dream

Our clients decided purchased this home after an exhausting year long search. They came to us to transform this typical subdivision cookie-cutter home with standard features into the  modern custom home of their dreams. Looking to create their perfect home in their desired neighborhood, they turned to Capoferro Design to help make their dream a reality.

The home, although very spacious at 3500 sqft. was dated and did not suite our clients aesthetic and modern taste. The scope of work included demolishing and removing all existing flooring, base boards, doors, windows, walls, kitchen and bathroom cabinets, appliances, tubs, showers, toilets and vanities–essentially taking the interior of  home down to its studs.

The new design includes an updated floor plan to accommodate the lifestyle and spacial needs of the client. This included a plan to relocate the existing staircase and remove walls to create an open floor plan.  The new  floor to ceiling windows bring in an abundance of natural light, not typical to subdivision homes,  and they overlook the ravine in the yard.   The focus of the space will be the two story marble wall and fireplace and the custom wood and glass staircase.

We will post photos as the project progresses. Here are some photos from the framing stage….
